You’re Not Alone – Whitehead Storehouse Is Here to Help
The summer holidays can bring a mix of joy and pressure for many families. While the days are longer and routines more relaxed, the simple act of putting meals on the table can become unexpectedly hard. With school meals on hold, some households are finding that the weekly shop just doesn’t stretch as far as it needs to.
If that sounds familiar, please know that you’re not the only one – and you don’t have to struggle in silence. Whitehead Storehouse is here to help.
We’re a local, volunteer-run service supporting the Whitehead, Islandmagee and Ballycarry communities. If you’re a parent or carer and things are tight right now—whether it’s the cost of food, the pressure of keeping kids fed all day, or just an unexpected bill throwing everything off—you can ask for help.
Whether you need a one-off food parcel or a little more support to get through the rest of the holidays, everything is handled confidentially, kindly, and without judgement.
We prioritise families because we know it can be especially hard to ask for help when you’re looking after children. But please believe us when we say: if you need a hand, we want to help.
